Played this game more times than I can count as a child on the ps2 on the non final mix version. At least 3 or 4 times, each time when re-released on a new platform from PS3 to the now released Steam version, which might as well be the end all be all version. Since recently taking an interest in the more "hardcore" action games like Devil May Cry and Ninja Gaiden, I have an interest in finally starting a level 1 run of KH2. Theres this video I watched that goes into the depth of the systems of the 3 main Kingdom Hearts games. How their meters interact and tie together, risk reward of different attacks. How dominating strategies/moves are balanced. How there being one attack button can still allow for a variety of moves and skill expression through timed presses and contextually sensitive swings. So much is covered. I do want to go through these games with a fresh pair of eyes post DMC3 and see what's going on. That's one of my goals with revisiting the action games I've played in the past, I did so with Dark Souls recently. Will eventually update when I get around to starting the run. Also plan on doing the same with Kingdom Hearts 1.
The Hidden Depth Of Level 1
The video in question. It's 50 minutes or so, but also all killer no filler. Pure information.
KHWiki
No intention in talking about lore or story, it's beyond me and isn't my primary interest right now. Maybe when KH4 comes out my tune will change. The above is the reference. Along with some general game information
